Empower yourself: Know your self worth

Empower yourself: Know your self-worth

Empowerment is a choice. Yours! It’s important to continue your endeavors for empowering success, however, just as important are the actions you take to empower yourself. ~ Robin Tramble

What separates a woman from all of the rest who may not drive the finest car or live in the finest home? When you see her she’s always together and is ready to take on any project with unshakable confidence. This woman is not arrogant, however, she stands in her power and you take notice when she steps into the room.

What is it? She knows her self worth.

Your bank balance does not validate whether you know your self worth or not. It’s about you and the person you are in life.

Do you find yourself easily respecting others and offering up consideration and much honor? And yet you neglect youself in these same areas. You may have a challenge with your self esteem. How you value yourself is based on the self-esteem you have, your self-esteem shows you how much you truly value yourself.

A position of happiness, independence and an ability to adapt to change easily has to do with a healthy self esteem. This individual will have a positive outlook on life. Unhealthy or low self- esteem on the other hand leads only to irrational thoughts, unhappiness, fear of the new, rigidity, defensiveness and a negative outlook on life in general.

If you are full of confidence and know where you’re going others see this and they want to follow you and to be around you. So it’s important that you get a healthy view of yourself. Respect yourself and others will respect you. So finding and developing your self-worth is all about developing your self-esteem.

How do you begin to develop your self worth?
Since your self worth and how you see it has to do with your self esteem then it would stand to reason that you discover ways to boost your self-esteem.

Here are some tips for developing and boosting your self-worth.

• Discover and say what God says about you.
• Take some time out for yourself everyday, meditate, look inside yourself and realize all your good points and imagine changing your bad ones into more positive.
• Celebrate and pride yourself on even the smallest achievements that you accomplish.
• Do something everyday that you enjoy, such as taking a walk in the sunshine or soaking in a bubble bath.
• Talk positively to yourself, repeat empowering statements to chase away all of the negative thoughts and feelings.
• Take inventory of limiting beliefs and replace with empowering beliefs.
• Pray and meditate. It’s important to take some time away to be still, be quiet and clear your thoughts. Praying is two way, however, you’ll want to remember to listen as well as speak so that you hear the wisdom that Father God may be imparting unto you. In God’s presence is peace, love and joy! There’s also affirmation of the uniqueness of you the one of a kind gift of God you.
