Empowering Women: 7 Cannon Ball Barriers to Empowering Success

7 Cannon Ball Barriers to Empowering success

Success is something that we long for from our child hood. The seed for empowering women and having my own business was planted years ago. I remember playing with my siblings and they considered mere play but no I was serious. I had a pink cash register, prices for my products and I didn’t crack a smile. Yes, I was a business girl waiting to evolve into the Business woman that I am today. Why I was going to change the world.

One day I returned home from Los Angeles and my Dad pulled me aside and said “Robin slow down, don’t worry it will happen. You’ve always searched for success from back when you were a little girl.” I often refer back to his words and smile because the passion that I have today didn’t just begin a few years back it was with my from child-hood and I believe from birth as God as a Divine purpose for everyone of us.

I’ve since learned various strategies, blue prints, 12 steps and more. I have learned more from the wisdom of Father God and still seek His guidance in everything that I do. Besides it’s in His word “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8 We could just stop right there with this one principle but I won’t I’m going to share 7 Cannon Ball barriers to Empowering Success. They are not in any order of significance.

1. Fear – Fear is taking over the world as we encounter various events. Fear immobilizes you and can hinder any level of empowering success. The thing to do is to become faith-full and not to focus on Fear. What you focus on expands.

2. Procrastination – In one of my articles and my ebook “The Dynamic power of focus” I state that procrastination can also be attributed to laziness, however, fear is also part of this behavior. You may have experienced a certain result when you embarked on an activity and it wasn’t favorable so each time you move toward that familiar place you retreat out of fear and put it off longer and longer.

3. The wrong mindset – I talk about mindset in almost every program because the
wrong mindset can sabotage your empowering success. Do you have a mindset of failure or success? Lack or abundance? The needed thing is to make mindset shifts to that which will support your endeavors for empowering success!

4. Lack of leveraging time – The unstoppable woman/woman entrepreneur knows the value of leveraging her time. Yes it’s true! But first you must value time. We are all given 24 hours in a day. How can you get more done without extra effort? do you need to discover productivity techniques, outsource? Learn how to repurpose your content so that you’re making money without your needing to be present?

5. A victim mentality – Have you ever encountered someone who always has a sad story to tell and it doesn’t matter how much advise you give they still resort to that “victim mentality.” Don’t let this be you. Do what you need to do to refrain from embracing this behavior. We all have experienced crisis, hardships, disappointments and if you haven’t , like my Grandmother used to say “just keep on livin’ “

6. A lack of accountability – Did you know that much of what you need to give you that extra push is an accountability partner? Quite a few of my clients know where they want to go and a little of how to get there but they say that they just need that extra “PUSH” or kick in the rear to get them moving. To help them to what they know they should be doing. I could go on here but I won’t. There’s not enough space. (smile)

7. A lack of commitment and tapping into Divine influence- There are a lot of things that could have gone wrong if I hadn’t made a commitment to acknowledge God in all my ways. The bible says to trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3: 5,6 It’s up to you to make this connection. He (God) is there waiting for you to tap into His wisdom. He invites you to ask in James 1:5

And because I love to over-deliver hears one more….

8. Being unteachable – If I’ve seen anything that can be a cannon ball barrier to empowering success it is that of being unteachable. An unstoppable woman/woman entrepreneur knows the power of remaining teachable. Sure you may be educated or have years of experience in your given field but as long as you are on God’s green earth there is always someone you can learn something from. Your life becomes richer when you keep this mentaility.

I’ve shared not only 7 but 8 cannon ball barriers to your empowering success!
